WHEREAS, the Town is eligible to receive approximately $1,028,062 in Community Development Block Grant funds and approximately $324,651 in Home Investment Partnership program funds for the 2019 Program Year, and

              WHEREAS, the Town is required to hold public hearings to obtain the views and comments of Town residents, public agencies and other interested parties concerning housing and community development needs in the Town, the amounts of assistance expected, and the ranges of activities that may be undertaken with CDBG and HOME funds, and

WHEREAS, the FY 2019 Annual Plan (detailing activities proposed for funding with Program Year 2019 Community Development Block Grant and HOME Program funds) have been made available for public review in the public libraries within the Town, the Cheektowaga Town Clerk's Office, the Community Development Office and online, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT

              RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held on October 9, 2018 at 7:00 P.M. at Cheektowaga Town Hall, 3301 Broadway, Cheektowaga, New York 14227 for the above stated purpose, and BE IT

              FURTHER RESOLVED, that the attached public notice of such public hearing be published in the Cheektowaga Bee on Thursday, September 27, 2018.

Town of Cheektowaga FY 2019 Annual Plan

Community Development Block Grant and HOME Programs

A public hearing will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 7:00 P.M. at Cheektowaga Town Hall, 3301 Broadway, Cheektowaga, NY 14227 on the Town's Fiscal Year 2019 Annual Plan for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership Act (HOME) Programs to obtain the views of citizens and interested parties on housing and community development needs in the Town and on the draft Annual Action Plan which have been made available for public review in Town Hall, the Community Development Office, Cheektowaga Libraries and online on the Cheektowaga web site. The Annual Action Plan outlines specific housing and community development projects proposed to be funded with FY 2019 CDBG and HOME Program funds. The Town is eligible to receive funds estimated to be $1,028,062 in CDBG funds and approximately $324,651 in HOME Investment Partnership Program funds from HUD in 2019.  Any difference in actual allocations received will be either added to, or deducted from, the Single-Family Rehabilitation Program. The Town also estimates approximately $300,000 in CDBG and $100,000 in HOME program income from its revolving housing rehabilitation loan program and $190,000 in economic development revolving business loan program income will be received. Those wishing to offer comments at the hearing are asked to also submit a written text, which may also be submitted to the Cheektowaga Community Development Office, 275 Alexander Avenue, Cheektowaga, New York, 14211.  Interpreters or signers for the hearing impaired will be made available at the meeting upon prior request.  If you need such special arrangements, contact the Cheektowaga Community Development Office at 897-7200, Ext. 3, at least seven (7) business days prior to the hearing. The hearing location is accessible to the physically disabled.
