Authorize Purchase of Dispatch Workstation Equipment

Body

              WHEREAS, the Town’s Information Technology and Records Management Department is interested in upgrading and improving the monitoring of security surveillance systems by the police dispatch center for our town buildings, school districts, and businesses in order for them to be able to provide better and quicker service to Town residents and to provide public safety; AND

 

              WHEREAS, the current equipment has reached end-of-life, AND

 

              WHEREAS, the Information Technology and Records Management departments along with the Police Department will be redesigning the current dispatch monitoring equipment, AND BE IT

 

              RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes the Information Technology Department to upgrade dispatch workstations, together with ancillary equipment for a total not to exceed $25,000, AND BE IT FURTHER,

 

              RESOLVED, that the funding for said equipment shall be appropriated from budget line item 0100-1680-4437.
